A record year for Le Mark at PLASA 2019
What a show! This year was an incredible success at PLASA Show. Held at London Olympia from September 15-17, 2019, the event welcomed thousands of attendees interested in the latest offerings of the live entertainment technology industry. Thank you to every one of our customers who visited the stand, and to the many new faces we greeted. You made it our best show yet!
Teamwork Makes the Stand Work
The new Le Mark stand combined a wide variety of tapes, labels and dance floors with the Dirty Rigger™ range of gloves, tools, crew wear and accessories. 5 Star Cases helped us to create a series of board displays that enabled visitors to get truly hands-on with each of the products. Framed with black truss supplied by AED Group and erected by Crewsaders, the space was doubled in size from 2018 and featured a custom-printed Harmony™ floor. It was all hands on deck for the set up on Saturday, and we’re incredibly grateful that Ian from our Warehouse team refused to leave until we were done, despite having evening plans!
PLASA Members Experience Harmony
We were also delighted to be asked to produce the custom printed floor for the PLASA Members Lounge. The attractive wooden floorboard effect was printed onto Le Mark Harmony vinyl flooring. It provided a high-quality, durable finish to the seating area.

New Product Releases
The event gave us a fantastic opportunity to introduce customers to our brand-new products. Highlights included:
- MagTape™ Ultra-Matt Gaffer Tape – A new, eco-friendlier gaffer tape! The first tape from the Le Mark Ingenuity Favours our Environment (LIFE) program. Featuring natural rubber adhesive that’s 100% Toluene free and fully recyclable packaging. Ultra-Matt has ultra-low reflection, making it our most matt finish yet.
- MagTape Utility Matt Gaffer Tape – A new matt version of our popular Utility gaffer tape. A good quality, mid-range product, with medium strength adhesive and durability.
- Le Mark Stage™ Floor – A new heavy-duty black floor for any live entertainment performance. Featuring outstanding durability and abrasion resistance, it is recommended for use where long life under heavy traffic is required.
Under Development
Dirty Rigger has also been hard at work developing many new products for you, all made to their renowned high standards of quality and durability. PLASA visitors were the very first to get a sneak preview of these exciting additions.
- Dirty Rigger Truss Pin Bag – Our latest tool bag will provide a home for your truss pins and open-bottomed tool sockets to carry your Podger Wrench and Truss Pin Hammer.
- Dirty Rigger Radio Pouch – Compatible with Dirty Rigger or other tool belts, this radio pouch will be an essential piece of kit for anyone backstage or on set who needs to keep their radio safe at height and close at hand.
- Dirty Rigger Stage Markers – These new weighted bags are a temporary yet reusable stage marking solution, available in bright neon colours. An innovative alternative to tape!
Super Stand Swag
Our eco-friendly freebies were a big hit. Dirty Rigger’s reusable metal water bottles flew off the shelves! Shall we make these a permanent addition? Let us know your thoughts. Customers also loved their rigger-evolution cotton drawstring bags and any attendee could help themselves to our really useful sticky note and flag pads.
The PAL™ Label Challenge was also very popular, with many visitors trying their best to pull apart the two flight case dishes. Stuck together with our ultra-high-tack foam adhesive however, no one could beat us! This adhesive is what sticks our PAL road case labels to your gear, giving you confidence that they’re not coming off without a fight!
Our Winning Team
“All three days were busy,” said Hannah Tuohy, Global Flooring and Installation Manager. “It felt like the old days at Earls Court. We met some fantastic new customers and had some good conversations with existing customers that weren’t aware of our full range of products. The new stand really helped promote our entire range. As always, we had a great show team. It was great to have such a wide range of product knowledge there. We showed our international presence as well with Steve L and Karolina from the export team, and both Directors even stopped by to enjoy the fun.”
And as you’d expect nothing less from the Le Mark team, they also made the most of the bonding time outside of the show.
