PAL Labels Powering Through, Year After Year
The Powerline provides temporary power solutions including generators, transformers and turnkey solutions for events, media and outside broadcasting. Le Mark tape customers since 2006, they began using the PAL™ road case labels in 2010. We caught up with Alistair Gregson, Project Manager at The Powerline, to see how they’ve performed over so many years of use.
“Before we started using PAL labels,” Alistair said, “we had been using cheap gaffer tape stuck on equipment to label or tag it in whatever way we needed. This was untidy, unsustainable and unprofessional. A change was needed.
“As a company Le Mark has a fantastic reputation and is the market leader for much of what it does. It was a name we could trust. Why would you not buy from Le Mark?”
“The PAL labels are excellent quality, durable and look exactly as the artwork we submitted. Much of our kit was unbranded, so the PAL label started the process of adding our identity. The labels have encouraged better planning and working practices plus they have saved us money on tape and time on cleaning off tape residue.”
The Powerline rebranded a couple of years ago, and instead of replacing all their PAL labels, simply had stickers made to overlay the old logo. “There was no need to replace the labels as they are all still functional, even after so many years of use,” Alistair said. “As much of our work is outdoors, the original labels have inevitably discoloured through UV exposure, but, although they may not be as pretty anymore, that adhesive is holding strong!”
It’s not just Le Mark’s labels that The Powerline are loyal to. They’re also big fans of Le Mark MagTape™ Original gaffer tape.
