You can help reduce the plastic in our world by choosing paper-based printed tape instead of vinyl or polypropylene. With printed paper tape, your brand can be just as visible as your consideration for our planet.
Less plastic in your packaging
By choosing paper packaging tape instead of vinyl or polypropylene, you’re helping to reduce the amount of plastic in our world. Although some disposal centers are looking at ways to recycle plastic-based tapes, much of the waste goes to landfill. Furthermore, paper tape’s natural look can help your packaging appear unique and emphasise your business’s consideration for the environment.
Switching to paper packing tape
Switching over to paper for your printed tape is easy, even if you’re already using poly or vinyl materials. We can move your existing design straight over to paper on your next order. Furthermore, if your artwork does require any tweaking, we’ll help you every step of the way.

Choose from two types of paper tape
There are two types of printed paper tapes: self-adhesive and water-activated. Both reduce the use of plastics, but water-activated takes environmental awareness to a whole new level. Fully compostable, biodegradable and recyclable, water-activated paper tape is the most environmentally friendly packing tape we’ve ever offered.
Similarly, self-adhesive paper tape uses FSC certified paper*, but is classed as recycling-process-friendly. This means it can be put through the recycling process alongside other packing, but is not classed as fully recyclable/compostable/biodegradable in its own right. Nonetheless, its ease of use (no need for a water bath), plastic-free base and affordability has made it our most popular printed paper tape.
Ultimately, both tapes are a great way to help keep plastic out of our soil.
*FSC certified paper is available on natural-brown base material only.

Design your own printed paper tape
Printed paper tape is fully customisable. Your design can contain up to four colours and can even be flood coated. Furthermore, paper tape has a premium matt finish, unlike traditional ‘glossy’ printed tapes. As a result, your packing tape can standout from the crowd as well as minimise the use of plastics.
