Le Mark proud to support StageHand™ the Industry's Welfare & Benevolent Fund, proving their really is ‘Light in a Dark Place’!
A chance conversation 21 years ago led to the invention of the now ubiquitous Le Mark PAL Road Case label. As with most inventions the demand came first when the question was put by West London based SPS to Le Mark’s MD Stuart Gibbons “Can you guys build a road case label that I can write on over & over again and will stick like a limpet and never fall off?”
Stuart Gibbons went back to his long serving screen printing colleague Kevin Isaac and between them the proverbial ‘back of a cigarette packet’ design was hatched and a prototype Plastic Adhesive Laminate or PAL Road Case label was born ! The rest is history as is often said. SPS loved the prototype, an order was placed and production commenced under the then (but now forgotten) Roadie Label name.
To celebrate the invention and with many 100’s of thousands of PAL Roadie Case labels used around the world, Le Mark has chosen to produce a 21st anniversary ‘celebration version’ of their original ‘Roadie Label’. This time, however, with a soft glowing photoluminious background with the legend Light in a Dark Place !
Le Mark have agreed to support Stage Hand as their 2011/12 season charity and will donate 10% of all Road Case Label sales to StageHand™ The Industry's Welfare & Benevolent Fund . “It’s our way of saying thank you to all those companies who put their trust in what we produce” quoted Stuart Gibbons .”I can not think of a better way of saying thank you to the industry we love to work in and to the customers and friends that have grown with us over the years . We felt that ‘Light in a Dark Place” heading encapsulated what StageHand™ is all about. A way of helping Industry colleagues that are experiencing difficulties and right now need a little help.”
Le Mark will launch the initiative at the forth coming PLASA Focus Leeds in April
