Le Mark’s Managing Director Stuart Gibbons had the opportunity to travel to Israel and visit many of the countries leading Arts & Entertainment companies. “I left a rainy Luton Airport, back in October, with a little trepidation and uncertainty as to what exactly Israel would be like. Arriving some 5½ hours later at a hot and humid Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, to be met by a long time colleague and friend Speedy Cole of Speedy Productions, my uncertainties disappeared. My 4 day trip was always going to be hectic, however, with Speedy’s invaluable help and guidance the task proved to by far less daunting than I first thought.
I had the opportunity to meet some of the Countries leading A&E industry professionals including Danor’s Niv Sadeh who gave me a full day of his valuable time and the opportunity to see the incredible Danor Lighting museum plus a sunset visit to old Jaffa to view a recent Danor LED installation . My thanks also go out to Gadi Kilim, the third generation of one of Israel’s oldest established companies and now one of Le Mark’s newest and very proactive Dirty Rigger Distributors see www.dirtyrigger.com
The pictures shows a very special late afternoon visit, conducted by a very photogenic Speedy Cole (see picture), to one of Israel’s most emotive destinations the Western (or Wailing )Wall in old Jerusalem where to my surprise a full concert install was in progress. Proving that whenever and wherever there is always an opportunity to fit in a gig! Once again a very heart felt ‘thank you’ to all the people I met that made this a very successful trip. Israel is a very special place with great vitality and an energetic buzz emanating from both the Country and its people, I am looking forward to my next visit.”
